Welcome to this Workforce3One.org Community of Practice Tutorial.  This tutorial will take you step-by-step through the fundamentals of using the "My Dashboard" and "My Profile" features on a Community of Practice.   Let's Begin!

  1. Login to your Community of Practice (See "How to Login to a Community of Practice").
  2. Click on the My Dashboard dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
  3. There are three options to choose from within My Dashboard the dropdown menu, which correspond to the three tabs on the My Dashboard page.  We will talk about each one.
  4. View Dashboard

    • The first pod on the View Dashboard screen is "Events."
      • The first tab, "Registered," provides information on events in which you have registered for.
      • The second tab, "Upcoming," refers to any upcoming events regarding any Community of Practice that you have registered for.
      • The third tab, "Attended," provides a listing of all events you have attended in the past.
    • The second pod on the View Dashboard screen is "Activity Stream."  This section shows any recent user activity on the Communities that you have signed up for.
      • The "Activity Stream" can be filtered for convenience in searching.  There are three drop down menus available to filter the information, and located underneath these drop down menus is an additional "Older Posts / Newer Posts" filtering option.
    • The third pod on the View Dashboard screen is "Communities."  This section provides a listing of all Communities that you are signed up for.   It is the same as the "Communities" section of the Dashboard.
    • The fourth pod on the View Dashboard screen is "Colleagues."  This section provides a listing of all other users you are currently signed up to be Friends with.
  5. My Profile

    • The first pod on the Edit Profile screen is "Edit Profile Settings."  It includes three options: Contact Information, Picture, and Profile.   Click on each to edit your profile settings.
  6. Communities

    • This section provides a listing of all Communities that you are signed up for.
      • Click the title of a community and options will appear on the right hand side of the screen.
      • Choose from the various E-mail Notification settings by sliding the bar to either the Yes option, or the No option.
      • Underneath the E-mail notification settings is the Cancel Membership option. If you would like to cancel your membership, please read the message, and then click the red Cancel My Membership link.
